Assets, Debts, & Net Worth
Understand Household Financial Health at the Neighborhood Level
AGS’s household finances dataset offers a high-resolution view of the assets people hold, the debts they carry, and how net worth is distributed across every standard U.S. geography.
Built from the Survey of Consumer Finances and modeled using AGS’s Synthetic Household approach, this dataset provides realistic, location-based estimates that help you go beyond income and uncover meaningful financial behavior.
Whether you’re mapping wealth distribution or assessing lending risk, AGS gives you a trusted window into household financial stability.

Methodology
The AGS dataset is based on the Federal Reserve’s 2022 Survey of Consumer Finances and refined using AGS’s proprietary Synthetic Household model.
This model works at the household level—rather than from summary tabulations—to reflect local relationships between demographics, shelter costs, and financial behavior.
The result: realistic, consistent data down to the census block.
